Know Your Blood Pressure Day

Did you know that 'Over half of all strokes can be caused by high blood pressure', and it is estimated that over five million people across the UK don’t realise they have raised blood pressure, because often there are no apparent or unusual symptoms.

The Stroke Association and Rotary International are joining forces again this year to help raise awareness of one of the biggest risk factors for stroke:

  • high blood pressure

And as part of this initiative, RCLP are inviting residents and visitors to spare a few minutes on Saturday 21 April to take a free, simple, quick and painless Blood Pressure Test as part of the annual “Know Your Blood Pressure Day".

Testing will take place:

  • from 9.30 am until 12.30 pm on Saturday 21 April 2018 in the St Francis Church Hall, Ravenswood Avenue, West Wickham, Kent BR4 0PW

If you are away from the areas on the day of the tests, you may find your next nearest blood pressure testing event, by visiting www.stroke.org.uk/kybp or otherwise simply ask your Doctor about a test.
